Complete Thyroid Test Kit

Capillary Blood Spot Testing for bio-available hormones requires a little  blood from an easy finger prick  Blood spot testing gives you the same results as serum tests, without the cost and inconvenience of conventional blood drawing. Our Home Thyroid Test kit makes it convenient for you to test your thyroid  hormones.

The thyroid is a small (25 grams) butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the throat.  The thyroid hormone controls energy,  metabolism (weight loss) and oxygen utilization.

Our Complete Thyroid Test checks for "Bio-Available" TSH, T3, Free T3, T4 and Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO). TPO is an indicator for the auto immune condition "Hashimotos Thyroiditis, or Hashimotos Disease".

TSH Test: (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) TSH is not actually a thyroid hormone; it is produced by the pituitary gland and stimulates the thyroid to make T4 and T3. When TSH is high it means the thyroid is under active and it needs to be stimulated. When TSH is out of range it is very important to also look at T3 and T4. Low TSH indicates Hypothyroidism and High TSH indicates a Hyperthyroid.

Hypothyroid Test: fatigue, feeling cold, weight gain, depression, brain fog, hair loss, constipation, dry hair, puffiness especially in the face and eyes, slow heartbeat, dry skin, heavy menstrual periods, brittle nails.

Hyperthyroid Test: anxiety, irritability, insomnia, bulging eyes, fast heartbeat, sweating easily, feeling warm or hot all the time, heat intolerance, weight loss, irregular menstrual flow, irritable bowel symptoms.

Free T3 Test:(triiodo- thyronine). Only the free (unbound) portion of triiodothyronine (free T3) is believed to be responsible for the biological action of T3. Measurements of free triiodothyronine (Free T3) concentrations, correlate more reliably with your clinical status than total triiodothyronine (T3) levels.

Free T4 Test:( L-Thyroxine) T4 should be the most abundant of the thyroid hormones and works with T3 to regulate metabolism. T4’s main purpose is to convert to the active hormone T3 in the liver.

Test for Hashimotots: When Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO) are elevated this can indicate Hashimotos Thyroiditis. This can easily be supported with a gluten free diet.

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is an autoimmune thyroid disease caused by inflammation of the thyroid gland. The immune system is actually attacking and trying to destroy the thyroid gland.

We believe that in order to identify the overall nutritional needs of the thyroid gland that all of the above indicators needs to be checked. Many nutrient deficiences and some food intolerances can cause thyroid symptoms.

Along with your thyroid blood spot test  results,  you will receive a  personal protocol from our practitioner to support optimal thyroid function.

*Currently our Saliva Home Test  Kits do not include a Thyroid Saliva Test. Thyroid testing is currently being done by the standardized method of Thyroid Blood Spot.
